This August (2nd, 3rd & 4th) the Mary Rose Museum will be ‘taking over’ Southsea Castle and celebrating Portsmouth’s 100 years as a city, with costumed interpreters roaming the keep, King Henry VIII meeting his subjects, storytelling and maybe even a ‘whack a rat’ thrown into the mix for some extra Tudor authenticity!
You will meet original Mary Rose Diver Alex Hildred, along with Kate and Sam Cunningham, author and Illustrator of Captain Vlad and the Mary Rose, our own children’s book about Henry’s favourite ship!
