At the Mary Rose we are committed to building partnerships across all communities, encouraging people of all backgrounds to engage with the Mary Rose collections and to discover what it means to them.
We are currently involved in a number of community projects and partnerships.
Through funding received from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are working with six partners within the City of Portsmouth to engage new and diverse audiences. Using inspiration from the Mary Rose collections, we are creating projects which will include dance, music and art, working with young adults through to those living with dementia.
In celebrating the 40th anniversary of the raising in 2022, we established key partners and engaged with a wide range of communities. Projects included working with Portsmouth Music Hub, The King’s Theatre Academy Trust, Groundlings Theatre, the University of Portsmouth and many more.
