We visit you

At the Mary Rose Museum we offer virtual online workshops led by our team of educational specialists. We also run a loan box system or can visit your school. For further information, please contact [email protected].

Virtual sessions

If you are unable to visit the Museum in person, book a virtual session with one of our dedicated Learning Team! These sessions give you the chance to explore the amazing collections and knowledge at the Museum in the comfort of your own classroom. Each bespoke session can be tailored to your needs and requirements but previous sessions have covered source analysis, mystery artefact challenges, and interpretation challenges.

Loan boxes

We offer a loan box service containing a selection of real and replica items from our Learning Collection that will help inspire pupils. Each box is supplied with teaching materials and supporting information to ensure that you can incorporate the items fully into your teaching.

All loan boxes must be picked up and dropped off at the Museum.

Adult talks

The Mary Rose Information Group is a group of volunteer speakers who give talks on the Mary Rose to U3A, Probus, historical societies and other interested groups.

Book one of our dedicated volunteers (see list of areas covered below) to visit your group and present on the history of this beloved Tudor warship. Alternatively, we can hold meetings online if your area is not covered.
