Dominic Jones

Chief Executive Officer

Dominic was recruited to the Mary Rose in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer and became CEO in 2021. He brings an outstanding background in commercial visitor attractions (Disney, Merlin) and creative visitor experience development.

During his time at the Mary Rose, Dominic has already driven commercial and operational performance. He worked closely with previous Chief Executive to create the new Portsmouth Historic Dockyard joint venture with the National Museum of the Royal Navy, which launched successfully in August 2020.

Eleanor Schofield

Deputy CEO

Following her PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Eleanor worked at Stanford and the University of Kent. She joined the Mary Rose as Conservation Manager in 2012 and became Head of Conservation & Collections Care in 2016, and then became Deputy CEO in 2021. She is a Chartered Scientist, Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Materials.

Ellie is responsible for the overall care, conservation, management, interpretation and research of the Mary Rose collections. This involves the maintenance of the buildings and estates, alongside health and safety.

Pippa Bostock

Director of Development, Engagement and Marketing

Pippa previously worked at the University of Portsmouth for 6 years, where she developed, launched and ran the Centre for Creative and Immersive XR (CCIXR) – winning over £15 million pounds in collaborative funding projects (funders include Innovate UK, UK government and ACE), and working with a wide range of partners from the Royal Shakespeare Company through to the Royal Navy. Pippa has significant experience managing large-scale projects and is a Director of Portsmouth Creates.

As Director of Development, Engagement and Marketing, Pippa leads the Mary Rose teams in these areas. Pippa oversees the Mary Rose Trust marketing, as well as Portsmouth Historic Dockyard marketing in partnership with NMRN. Pippa also oversees the Learning and Development teams, ensuring that fundraising and collaborative projects enable the Trust to continue to share the Mary Rose story with future generations.

Jason Sexton

Commercial and Operations Director

Jason joins the Mary Rose team with extensive commercial and operational experience from over 24 years of management with a proven track record within the leisure and tourism industry.

Jason is responsible for the whole operation of the Mary Rose Museum, maintaining our Number 1 ranking on TripAdvisor’s Top Thing To Do On list for Portsmouth. He is the Managing Director of the Mary Rose Trading Ltd as we continue to develop new commercial opportunities for the future.  In addition to this he is a board member for the joint operation of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard – a partnership between the Mary Rose and the National Museum of the Royal Navy.

Sue Wright

Finance Director

Sue is a qualified CIMA accountant with extensive financial management experience within the commercial, charity and local government sectors. Sue completed her accountancy training with IBM and then moved to London to work for SmithKline Beecham (later Glaxo SmithKline) who sponsored her MBA studies at Manchester Business School. Sue later returned to her home town of Portsmouth to raise her family and began working with charities to provide financial consultancy.

Sue joined the Mary Rose Trust just as the new Museum was opening in 2013. Her role as Finance Director covers all aspects of finance within the Trust and she also oversees IT and HR.
