Christmas in Tudor times was different to how it is today, but some traditions, such as lighting candles, have continued to this day.
In the morning you can meet Henry VIII and discover how he celebrated Christmas with his court, as well as how the crew of his favourite warship may have spent the festive season.
Come along and learn about Tudor candle making and what types of candles were found on board the Mary Rose. Children can take part in this fun and educational craft activity, and make their very own Christmas candle from beeswax.
You can also have a go at writing a festive message with an authentic Tudor quill and ink – What will you write?
