Your visit will begin with a guided tour of the museum, where floor-to-ceiling windows in all nine galleries showcase the largest Tudor artefact on display anywhere in the world.
Each fascinating gallery portrays the lives of the people who lived and worked on board, by looking at the treasure trove of objects recovered from the sea bed.
From fine pewter dishes, cauldrons and meat bones, to shoes, musical instruments and even the skeleton of the ship’s dog, the items on display tell a vivid tale of life as it would have been on the Mary Rose.
The ship’s impressive oak-timbered hull can be admired at close quarters, whilst standing on the Bridge Balcony gives a panoramic view of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory.
This memorable personal tour from a member of the museum team ends with a delicious afternoon tea, served either in the Wardroom Suite or the Museum café with stunning views of the waterfront.
Dainty finger sandwiches, fresh scones and delicious cakes are accompanied by either a selection of teas, coffee or a glass of sparkling wine.
It’s a special way to experience the Mary Rose – and no-one deserves to feel special more than your mum this Mother’s Day.
Afternoon tea and tour packages cost £65 for two, and £120 for four.
