Digitisation continues...

The Collections Volunteers have been making amazing progress. About a week after we announced we had digitised 1,000 slides, our volunteers reached the next landmark of 1,500 and last week they reached the 2,000 mark!

But it isn’t all about work when you’re a volunteer. This week, we arranged a trip for our volunteers to visit the exhibition ‘36 Hours: Jutland 1916, The Battle That Won The War’ (which is housed in the building that used to be the old Mary Rose Museum).

It was interesting for them to see an exhibition from a fellow attraction and learn about a topic that’s not centred on the Tudors. Although there was some relevancy as a few artefacts from the Mary Rose have been included within a display on maritime archaeology.

Digitisation Highlights

As before, we thought we’d share with you some of the interesting images we’ve come across from our archive.
